How To Help
PHASE ONE: REFUBISH THE SIGN
El Dorado Hills volunteers, including sign industry professionals, civil engineers, and masonry professionals have determined that a Phase One project of filling the existing voids inside the wall/sign structure, and re-mortaring the stone veneer can both restore the original sign structure’s integrity, and refurbish the sign to last for decades. To that end, volunteers sought out estimates and bids for completing this work. Our community is fortunate that a local masonry company California Masonry Concepts, wants to assist the volunteer effort, and has agreed to supply professional masons, equipment, and materials to help refurbish the sign. After working the numbers for several months, the Save Our Sign volunteer committee has targeted a PHASE ONE Refurbishment scope of work and budget of $10,000.00 – this will cover the work, and allow for a small contingency budget. The Rolling Hills Community Services District Board of Directors, the small special district who owns the sign, voted to approve our volunteer committee’s efforts to raise the funds necessary to refurbish the sign.
Our fundraising effort is being assisted and supported by the nonprofit El Dorado Community Foundation. Online fundraising is collected on our El Dorado Community Foundation Giving Page
